The Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Organization (ALCO) is a sub regional intergovernmental organization established in 2002 with the mission of reducing HIV impact on interregional trade in West Africa. Within the framework of the New Funding Mechanism, the Global Fund (GF) grant allocated to ALCO took new directions. This grant focuses on a gradual transfer process of HIV prevention services to national programs and a reposition of interventions toward strengthening community system as well as the defense of human rights. This grant covers the period from 2016 to 2018. The implementation of this program requires the recruitment of competent support staff to strengthen the executive secretariat management team based in Cotonou, Benin. To this effect, ALCO is soliciting call for applications.

Post (01) Bilingual Administrative Assistant

Under the authority and the direct supervision of the Executive Secretary, the mission of the Bilingual Administrative Assistant is to ensure and coordinate all secretarial work within ALCO.

Candidate Profile

  • The incumbent candidate must hold a Bachelor Degree in Bilingual Secretaryship
  • Demonstrate a minimum 05 (five) years experience in the secretarial/administrative assistance field.
  • Have good drafting skills in terms of reports/meetings minutes;
  • Have good oral and written expression in both English and French;
  • Be computer proficient: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as the Internet;
  • Have good organizational skills and high sense of prioritization and deadlines compliance;
  • Be welcoming, flexible and able to work in a team;
  • A similar experience in an Organization/NGO/Project would be an asset
  • Be able to work under pressure within a multicultural environment
